Comfirmation of Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2023

The first day of Ramadan for the year 2023 falls on April 22 (Saturday)!

Chief Secretary to the Government, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, announced that Muslims in the country will celebrate the first day of Ramadan on April 22. The announcement was made via live broadcast on state television. With the first day of Ramadan falling on April 22, it also means that April 21 will be a public holiday. The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, had earlier declared April 21 as a public holiday.

April 21 (Friday): Public holiday

April 22 (Saturday): First day of Ramadan

April 23 (Sunday): Second day of Ramadan

April 24 (Monday): Replacement holiday.
